Thank you for all the “little extras.” Because of you, we were able to see Mom the way we remember her. Dad still talks about that! Thank you for allowing our wishes to become part of Mom’s celebration of life. We are so appreciative of all that you have done to help us through this difficult time.
The M family
Seth and staff- Thank you so much for taking care of dad and all the funeral arrangements. We are so thankful for your care and doing such a good job of making things run smoothly.
The R Family
They made it easier during a very difficult time. I was especially pleased with Theresa helping us get through the process and Dave Lake for his kindness and help during the service.
I was intending to e-mail you anyway to let you know how pleased and amazed we were at how my mother looked at the visitation. She was absolutely beautiful and all who came remarked about it. Thanks again.
To Seth and Staff,
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all that you did to help make Howard’s service go so smoothly. A special thank you to Dave Lake for all his care and support to me as I said an emotional farewell to my family. Evan though it was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done, Dave treated me with the utmost respect and care. He made sure that every need I had was met and helped make a hard day easier.
Thank you so much for your heart-warming and comforting service. The love flowed throughout the service and burial. We also very much appreciate the “planning” visit with you on Tuesday before the service. You put us at ease especially Kim’s children. It was a pleasure to have met you even though it was under these circumstances.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The P. Family
Blair, Dave and Donna are amazing and we had a wonderful celebration (for my father.) thank you.
Thank you so much for the time, effort and caring you gave for making our mom’s funeral service so special. The get-together the night before was a wonderful idea. I think it helped the family and made the service more personal. Your thoughtfulness is sincerely appreciated.
PS- Thanks for putting up with our family’s “idiosyncrasies” too!
The B. Family
Blair, thank you for the elegant and sensitive way you handled my sister’s funeral. You almost felt like family, and I have no doubts that your concern was genuine.
In addition to the overwhelming sense of loss, there is a real potential for clumsiness in not knowing just what to do when. You helped to make everything occur smoothly, so that we were able to concentrate on Madalyn and not on what we need to do.
It felt like a gift.
We would like to thank you for the wonderful service you gave Jerry. When my dad died they only asked a few questions and took very little time to know him. It was really nice of you to take the time and effort to get to know Jerry. It’s the little extras that people remember and think about. Thank you again and may God bless you and your loved ones.
I wanted to sincerely thank you for taking the time to share with our Confirmation kids on Sunday night. The tour and information you shared was awesome and fit very well with the message we tried to convey with this event.
I’m so grateful to you for the marvelous care you provided our family throughout last week and during Dad’s memorial service. You and Sam offered such dignity and instilled confidence that all was attended to. Thank you, Blair. Our community is blessed to have you serving those in need.
Elaine, for father Max.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with students of my end of life issues class. The presentation, tour and price activity were very valuable experiences for everyone.
See you next semester!

Thank you very much for making the arrangement process so stress free, and I appreciated your kindness and patience with us. If anyone ever asks I will definitely recommend your services.
Larry, for uncle David.
Can’t thank you enough for all you did to make our sad time more tolerable. Anything we asked – you were there! You are a wonderful asset for the Merle Hay Funeral Home. Wanted you to know how much we appreciate your wonderful care of dad and all of our family.
Many, Many Thanks,
Thank you for letting our 8th grade confirmation class use the cemetery (Chapel Hill) for some teaching time. We appreciate your willingness to let us be on your property that evening.

We are writing to thank you for the wonderful support you gave to us at the time of the death of our loved one…We were deeply impressed with your sensitivity and respect for our needs and wishes from the time of the first call through the completion of the service. You honored our initial contract with the Cremation Society of Iowa and never pressured us to add any additional services. We were so pleased with the fact that you came to our home and that you worked so well with our Pastors in planning the service.
The day of the service the staff was there quietly guiding us and making sure we were where we needed to be. The memorial book, bulletin for the service and thank you notes where very tasteful.
We certainly would be pleased to recommend your service to our friends and those in the community. Thank you so much for your sensitive, supportive service at a very traumatic time for our family.

Brooks South Town Chapel was so compassionate during our mother’s service planning, service and burial. The staff there and at Merle Hay Funeral Home were so friendly and compassionate with our family all the way through and after the service. We have had many funeral services through Brooks South Town and Merle Hay Funeral Homes and every time they have been very supportive of our family during our loss.
