Pearl L. Watson

Pearl L. (Pollock) Watson was born on May 29, 1921 to James and Nell Pollock in Jefferson, Iowa. She passed on October 25, 2017 and went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, October 28, at Tonini Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow visitation at 11 a.m.
After the war she met and married Paul Watson and four children were born from this marriage. Pearl was in the food industry, including restaurant and catering services for her entire career.
Pearl was active with Pioneer Columbus Senior Center and Redman and Eagles Lodges. She loved all kinds of music, loved to dance, and spend time with her family and friends. Her favorite band was the “Country Gentleman”.
At the time of her death, she was surrounded at home with her family and entrusted her departure to the hands of her hospice nurses.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Paul, children Paul and Paulette, grandson Paul, and sisters Verna Watne, Lillian Day, and Patricia Thomas.
She is survived by her son John (Patricia), daughter Nancy, grandson John, and great granddaughter Laura May, all from Des Moines.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Sean Cunningham, nurse Carmen, and especially the nurses from Wesley Life Hospice.
Family requests that any donations be made to the donor’s charity choice.
