Patricia married Roland Gorman in 1955; they later divorced. She was later united in marriage to Don Shafer on October 26, 1974 at Westminster Presbyterian Church; on her parent’s 40th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed snowmobiling and riding with Don on the motorcycle. Patricia also liked knitting, crocheting and quilting. She was the leader for many years of the Piece Makers sewing group and also served in many capacities as a life member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
