Michelle Ann (Zierke) Davis Hutchcroft

Michelle Ann (Zierke) Davis Hutchcroft was born on July 30, 1964 in Fort Dodge, to Earnest and Ann (Feld) Zierke. Michelle was raised in Rockwell City and Centerville, Iowa. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School for elementary and graduated from Centerville High School. She was married to Brian Davis in 1984, and they had one son: Cory Davis. The two later divorced. Michelle met the love of her life, Don Hutchcroft, in Colorado Springs and were married on October 11, 2012 (10/11/12) in Waverly. She was an entrepreneur, owning her own staging business while she lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, before moving back to Waterloo in 2011. Michelle was an extremely creative individual and had a great passion for colors and design. She was able to use her talent in her job as an interior decorator for Sherwin Williams. She enjoyed sharing this gift with others through different crafts, paintings, and sewing. She loved animals, gardening, and most of all, her family.
Michelle Hutchcroft died on Thursday, April 19, 2018, surrounded by her family, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, at the age of 53. She is preceded in death by her Father; a sister: Kristi (Zierke) Bristow; a sister-in-law: Lisa (Labertew) Zierke; her maternal grandfather: Ernest Feld; and paternal grandparents: Onke and Fern Zierke. She is survived by her husband and beloved companion of 27 years: Don Hutchcroft of Waterloo; her son: Cory Davis of Colorado Springs, CO; her mother: Ann Zierke of Cedar Falls; her three brothers: Curt (Kim) Zierke of Ames, Chad (Jodi) Zierke of Powell, Ohio, and Shannon (Jennifer) Zierke of Cedar Falls; and her one sister: Nicole (Bryan Theel) Clements of Cedar Falls. Michelle touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
