Mark L Schore, Sr., born September 3, 1935, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at the Dallas Co. Hospital on July 16, 2016.
Mark’s childhood was in Perry, Iowa and attended the Perry Schools. He graduated from Perry High School in the early 1950’s. He went into the U.S. Air Force serving 20 years. Mark was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor (Viet Nam 1968), also was a life member of Disabled American Veterans. He also retired after 20 year at Hughes Air Craft at the age of 58.
Mark married Christine Y. Meusburger of Waukee, Iowa in 1954. They were married a little over 60 years. They were blessed with 4 sons, Mark Jr. of Yorkville, IL.., Jack (Debbie) of Indianapolis, IN., Scott (Cindy) of Tucson, AZ. and Larry of Dawson, IA; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also the family would like to mention all of the nieces and nephews that knew of him as Uncle Mark.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (May 3, 2015); mother and father, Howard and Helen Schore of Perry, IA.; brother, Roger of Tacoma, WA; and sister, Mary McDowell of Perry, IA.
Mass will be held at the St. Patrick’s Church in Perry, IA on July 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. followed military honors. Interment will be held at a later date.
Mark’s family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Staff of St. Croix’s Hospice and the Hy-Vee Pharmacy.
