Lelah F. Richards

Lelah Frances Inman Richards (Lea), 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 19, 2017, at the home of her daughter in Kenosha, WI.

Lea was born February 17, 1932, in Fort Des Moines, Iowa to Harold and Frances Inman, their oldest daughter. On September 29, 1955 she married Raymond Richards. She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Lea was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; sister, Shirley Foreman; parents, Harold and Frances Inman; and Great Granddaughter, Alisha Rose Harvey. She is survived by her children: Jeanne (Rich) Johnson of Ankeny, IA; Judi (Phil) Miller of Kenosha, WI; Robert (Patricia) Richards of Salt Lake City, UT; Janet Richards of Kingsland, GA; Joice (Brent) Trout, of Kansas City, MO; twenty grandchildren, six great-grandchildren (two more due in January); two sisters Juanita (Ralph) Marasco and Carol (Jean) Jacques, two brothers Jack (Rose) Inman and Kirk Inman along with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Brooks South Town Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, IA, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 11:00 at the Brooks South Town Chapel with graveside services following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Lea was a 40 year breast cancer survivor, had a love and passion for children, and flowers and plants. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Fl 17, Chicago IL 60601; Cancer Research Hospital, PO Box 896076, Charlotte, NC 28289; or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
