Lawrence “Larry” Harvey Morrison was born August 13, 1925 in Morris, Minnesota, son of Robert and Mettie (Milhouse) Morrison. He was raised in and graduated from high school in Morris. Larry married Agnes Lund on June 11, 1949 in Blackhammer, MN. Following his retirement from Rath Packing Plant in 1984, they lived in Arizona for many years returning to Waterloo when her health declined. Agnes died in 2005. Larry was married to Beverly Bailey on October 11, 2006 and was living with her in Oelwein, Iowa at the time of his death.

Larry enjoyed square, ballroom and line dancing. He was active in his church. Larry was an accomplished self-taught cook. He enjoyed family vacations and camping when he was younger. Larry had quite a sense of humor throughout his life.

Larry passed away at the age of 90 years at the Mercy Hospital of the Franciscan Sisters in Oelwein on Thursday, March 30, 2016 from congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters: Juanita Sites; Irene Morhman; Veyon O’Haver and Amanda Pilcher; and one brother, Robert Morrison who died as an infant. Larry is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Oelwein; a son, Larry (Deb) Morrison of Waterloo; 2 grandchildren: Joe (Sondra) Morrison of Washburn and Joe (Emily) Widmman of Ogden; and 3 great-grandchildren: Kylie Morrison and Janea and Wyatt Widmman.
