John E. “Jack” Orrell

John E. Orrell “Jack” passed away March 29, 2018 at Mercy Hospice, Johnston, Iowa. Jack was born in Pittsburgh, PA June 12, 1931. After graduating from Etna High School, Jack joined the Air Force and flew 29 missions in Korea. He worked for AT&T for 17 years, and Raytheon Company for 23 years.

Preceding him in death were his father, John E. Orrell, mother, Loretta, sisters, Maxine and Dorothy, first wife, Dory, and second wife, Jesse.

He is survived by his three children: John E. (Brenda) Orrell, Waukee, IA, Teri Lee Morrison, Las Vegas, NV, and Jeffrey (Toni) Orrell, Ogden, IA; and his wife, Rosalie Orrell.

Per Jack’s wishes there will be no formal services. A committal service will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 5.
