Jack S. Polski, 74, went to meet the Lord on February 16, 2016 with his wife at his side while at the VA Hospital – Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa. A service will be held 11 A.M, Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Care – University Chapel in Clive. Inurnment will follow at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

Jack Stephen Polski was born December 10, 1941 to Arthur Frank Polski and Helen Kalkowski in Fort Meade, Sturgis, South Dakota. He graduated from Grand Island High School and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Air Force. He very much enjoyed the Air Force, served in Vietnam and retired after 20 years of service as Master Sergeant. After his retirement from the military he went on to work at the Grand Island Independent and various other jobs. He loved automobiles, the Boeing B-47 Stratojet was his favorite airplane and he loved animals.

Jack is survived by his wife, Diana K. Polski; children, Susan (Mark Bryan) Polski and Scott (Cheryl) Polski; step-sons, Jason (Stephanie), Ryan and Nathan Fitzsimmons; several grandchildren; sister, Susan (Mike) Aringdale; his beloved dogs, Chance and Bean; and kitty, Meow. He was preceded in death by his parents.
