Douglas then attended and received his associate degree in Electronics Engineering, from Hawkeye Community College. He worked at John Deere as an electrician for the past 14 years. Doug liked to spend time in his flower garden, woodworking and target shooting. He also enjoyed stock car racing, golfing and snowmobiling. He had a very special basset hound named Jeorge.
