Deana Bencheck, age 44, of Lohrville passed away Friday, May 12.
Deana was born December 28, 1972 in Flint, Michigan. She is the daughter of Cydney Hatfield and Randy Bencheck. The family moved to Lohrville in 1990 and then relocated to Reno, Nevada in 1995, only to return back home to Lohrville in 2001. She worked towards her passion of helping others. She began working at Opportunity Living, then New Hope and finally her dream, owning her own bar and restaurant, Ivy Joe’s.
On November 30, 1987 her first child, son Reid Bencheck was born. On March 31, 1993, her daughter Ivy Bencheck was born. She had just recently watched Reid graduate from Basic Military Training of the United States Air Force. She was also keeping busy by helping Ivy plan her wedding this summer. She was so proud of them both.
Deana enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to Byron’s to listen to all the amazing bands. She was a hugger, embracing all who came to her. She always had a smile to share and the most contagious laugh. Deana was a wonderful, hard-working mother who had the biggest heart. Her children were her pride and joy in life.
Left to cherish Deana’s memory are her children, Reid and Ivy Bencheck, her mother Cydney Hatfield, grandmother Wilma Edwards, great aunt Norma Kerry, uncle Marshal Dodge and Benjamin Loeffler.
She is preceded in death by her father Randy Bencheck and her aunt Julie Dungan.
Celebration of Life service will be held at the Lohrville EMS building on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00-8:00pm.
