Anna E. Corso, a long-time resident of St. Petersburg, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital.
Born in 1914 in Des Moines, Iowa, Anna was a World War II Veteran and also retired from the Naval Reserves. She worked at Bay Pines for many years in the Volunteer Division. When she retired, she played golf and enjoyed her nieces, nephews, and their children. She often went with them on picnics, field trips, and short excursions.
She is survived by her sister, Lena Thomas; nieces, nephews, and several grandnieces, and grandnephews all of whom brought great joy to her later years.
There will be a wake on May 9, 2016 from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM at Brett Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, FL. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 9:30AM at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle (Our Lady’s Chapel) in FL. Service arrangements handled by Brett Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 at Glendale Cemetery, Block F, in Des Moines, Iowa. Burial arrangements handled by Brooks Funeral Care.
